Four below zero, freezing fog, the main part of the lake was totally frozen, the poor birds could not find food, the dogs expected to jump in for a swim. Jesse was very surprised. Jack did not like it at all as you will have seen.
From this freezing cold corner of South-East England, have a happy weekend, dear friends and readers.
Brrrrrrrr cold is right. Here, we're dealing with record rainfalls (flooding, etc). Is there somewhere where it's 70-75* with a slight breeze all the time? If so let's go there. Linda in soggy Washington state
ReplyDeleteLove the video and the music, it is cold, and foggy..brrrr
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend

What an enchanting piece of film ,from the waterfall ,to the two birds ,and then your lovely dogs ,exploring the ice ,the music was pefect especially when it lifted when one of the dogs approached the stepping stones ....I am going to watch it again ,and will show Maurice when he gets home (can you tell I liked it ? ) ...love Jan xx
ReplyDeleteMike did a very good job taking that video. I enjoyed looking at it. To cold to be taking a walk. Hugs, Helen
ReplyDeleteLovely video, very atmospheric, very good choice of music to go with it as well! Those two birds on the ice look like they are saying to each other 'what the .......' LOL. Lve Bex X
ReplyDeleteI held my breath as I watched those two go over the rocks by the waterfall. what a beautiful place to walk. Thank you so much for the video today. Thank Mike too for going on that cold walk. I enjoyed it so much. It is snowing more here. Will be glad to get home for the day and put my warm fleece pjs on and just relax. 'On Ya'-ma
ReplyDeleteTo think you almost didn't come back...what would we have done without you and these lovely film clips...Glad though that the dogs didn't go to far onto the lake..Two dogs here in Wiltshire have drowned this week... Loved these wee ducks as well looked as if they were speaking to each other saying "this is a rum do..no nice swimming "
ReplyDeleteMuch Love and Thanks Sybil xx
I bet his teeth were chattering - how cute!
ReplyDeleteThis was so much fun to watch....I really liked it when they crossed the falls. Poor birds indeed, they sure were looking for something to eat. That looks like a fabulous place to walk the dogs. Stay warm...spring is just around the corner (I keep telling myself this!!).
xx
Hi Jeannette,
ReplyDeleteIts much colder here again today too though we were lucky to escape the fog. It DID come down last night but had almost cleared by the time I left for work. Our shop is absolutely freezing but the many layers of clothing I wear keep me nice and warm and its only my fingers that feel cold. The only thing is I look a bit like the michelin man...lol!
Love Sandra xxxx
Cute video that you put in there of the birds and collies on the lake.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by to thank you for coming by my blog to leave prayers for my mother and stepfather, it means so much to me that the friends I've made online are always there when you need them. Thank you for making me smile today. :)
xoxo, Heather

ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrrrrrr! And, to think I keep wanting to move back to New England after being here in Florida for 20 years....I may have to think about that some more after all the bloggers talking about the cold, snow, sleet, ice.
ReplyDeleteI miss my roots, not so much the weather.
Hugs, Rose
Well, that was a nice touch of England even if it was teeth chattering time. I wondered if that was you out there filming. It still looks very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh how very pretty and such lovely music... poor Jack and Jessie wondering where the water had gone... Thank you Mike with teeth chattering.... :)

Great title really witty. Hope it is getting milder for you it is here yesterday and today so it should be on its way to you. Gale force winds and rain today oh well it makes a change.Love Joan
ReplyDeleteThe video made me feel even colder than I am! Lol! The mist made it look an eerie magical place. I can't imagine why Jesse and Jack would want to go swimming in this cold! My two old border collies used to love frozen ground, they'd run and slide along on their backsides, it always made me laugh! It was 17F here last night, I wish spring would arrive! Jeannette xx
