Hope Did Not Survive

Conjoined twins, Faith and Hope Williams were born on the 26th November. Their mother is aged only eighteen, the youngest person ever in this Country to give birth to conjoined twins.

They were joined at the chest and abdomen and it was thought that, as they only shared a liver, an operation to separate them would be successful. Normally this procedure takes place at around the age of three months.

However, the health of the twins was giving cause for concern as the babies had blocked intestines, so the medical procedure was brought forward to yesterday. The operation went well in that the separation was a success.

Unfortunately the lungs of little Hope could not cope and she died with her parents at her bedside.

The latest news is that Faith remains stable. She will be in my prayers. I will pray that she wins her battle and survives to be a great blessing to her parents. They will also be in my prayers for the sad loss of their much loved little Hope. Now safe in the arms of the Lord.

  9. As you know, our family just went thru the stress of a little girl born premature with severe intestinal issues and very close to death. It was a time of deep reflection for the entire family. She is now out of the hospital and doing fine, but I knew--even if she died, God would have worked His wise purposes through her brief life, as he has in the life of baby Hope. No life is lived or ended in vain. Blessings.
